If you read this blog a lot – you may think that I spend my life at Walmart. Walmart is NOT my favorite store – but I do end up stopping there quite a bit on my way home from work when I teach late on Tuesday nights. It’s the one place you can go to get sewing notions, fabric, plain t-shirts and a few random grocery items. (It’s actually kind of funny – I am often in the checkout line next to 20-somethings buying Snickers bars, Doritos and Hostess products who reek of marijuana…hmmmmm) Like I said – it’s not my favorite store – but it serves a purpose.
So once again, I was at Walmart late on a Tuesday night and I happened to notice and end cap full of dog sweaters. Not being a dog person, I would have normally walked right by them. But then I got inspired. How funny would it be to monogram a dog sweater?
I realize that most dogs don’t have middle names for a monogram – so you may have to make one up. For example, my kids gave my sister-in-law’s dog, Gus, a middle name (“Lamberson” – yes – pretty random). Or you could just use one of the owner’s initials.
Anyway – I am sure that I am not the first person to come up with the idea of monogramming a dog sweater. Have any of you ever done it? Or did I just give you the best Christmas gift idea for a dog lover??
