Funny face machine applique design

If you read my post a couple of days ago, you may remember that I have been having a hard time deciding what to make for my son’s birthday party favors. I had thought that initially I would make star applique t-shirts, but when I couldn’t find the fabric I had envisioned for the star appliqué I needed to come up with a new idea.
Here’s what I came up with: funny face t-shirts. I logged into my stock image database and found some great animated face sketches which I digitized and turned into machine applique designs. On the bright kid t-shirts I purchased from JoAnns for $1.97 – I think this crazy design will be perfect. I’m still in the test stitching phase but all is going well… it better be, because I have 10 shirts to make by Sunday.
So the way it’s going now – I’ve got great party favors but no idea what the menu will be. I actually haven’t even ordered a cake! Oh the things I do in the name of embroidery.
I will definitely follow up with pictures of the finished t-shirts.
