Groovy Dahlia Machine Embroidery Design

It’s funny how since I started digitizing, I have begun looking for inspiration EVERYWHERE. And it seems that I manage to find objects to digitize everywhere I look. I have digitized the patterns on my sister-in-laws dress, a graphic on a hotel wall in Thailand… Seriously… inspiration is everywhere!
Case in point. Last week when we were on a family trip to Colorado, i found a dahlia graphic on our bedspread that inspired me. I loved the dahlia design and I thought it would look really cool digitized. After staring at the bedspread for five days, I finally snapped a picture. (Thank the Lord for cell phones).
Last night I digitized the dahlia design and stitched it out. It’s a fairly dense design but I think it turned out super cute and would look great on home decor items as well as clothing.
Please let me know what you think. And is this really a dahlia? I have no idea. I am terrible with flower names.
