Inspiration Sunday – Finding machine embroidery design inspiration from traditional embroidery designs

Here’s a tip… if you decide to write a blog every day – be sure to tell your friends about it is – because they become the source of great ideas. The other day I met my friend, Anna, for lunch. (Yes – this is Anna who is planning the anniversary party for her parents.) Anna showed up with a book that she thought might provide me with some inspiration for digitizing machine embroidery designs: Sweet Stitches from the Heart.
Sweet Stitches from the Heart is a book filled with traditional embroidery projects and patterns for hand embroidery. While the designs are a bit cutesy – there are also some sweet whimsical designs. Before returning the book to the library – I snapped a few pictures that may reappear in future embroidery designs I create.
