Ok. I can barely stand it. I am really proud of this new design I just digitized. As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I am a huge fan of Meringue Designs’ Roman Wreath and have stitched it out on pillows, pillowcases and placemats. So I wanted to challenge myself by creating my own monogram wreath design with a bit of a different look.
There were some interesting challenges I faced when digitizing. I wanted the stitch angle of the circle to be in the direction of the circle radius, but the circle, itself to vary in thickness. This required using the block digitizing tool. I created about three of the branches then used the wreath tool to duplicate them and rotate them around the center axis of the circle.
I wish i could claim a more interesting inspiration source…but the wreath design was actually inspired by various images I found on-line. I plan to stitch it out on some placemats I purchased for my mother-in-law. Stay tuned for that!
