Yesterday I met up with my friend, Julie, for a serious Christmas gift wrapping session. Yes, I know it was still November, but we are ON IT this year. I mean when we were done, the room where we were wrapping looked like Santa sleigh exploded.
Anyway, while we were wrapping Julie picked up a present she had just finished and tossed it to me with a “Merry Christmas.” She got me the cutest bracelet that is filled with baking sprinkles, and a “J” necklace made from a Scrabble tile. Awesome!
So then it was my turn. Wahoo wahoo! For Julie – I got her a striped sweatshirt in two shades of pink that was made a bit dressier with a half zipper coming down the back. To personalize it especially for her, I monogrammed it with a turquoise J in a stylish script. The typeface I used is actually one of Kimberly Geswein’s fonts that I have been loving lately (Janda Stylish Script).
Julie seemed to love the sweatshirt. And the best news for me was that since we just exchanged gifts and there’s nothing to hide anymore, I could share the project with you. The sweatshirt actually turned out so cute that I want to run back to Old Navy to try to find a matching one for me to coordinate with Julie. Look out!
