A few days ago I blogged about the modern dahlia patch I made for a customer that contacted me via my Etsy store. I had never made a patch before but I decided to give it a try. Fortunately, I think it turned out pretty well. Most importantly, the customer and her daughter (backpack owner) seemed to be very pleased with it, at least based on the picture I sent her after I completed the patch.
After I sent the patch to her, I asked if she might send me a picture of the patch on her daughter’s backpack once she ironed it on. And she actually did! Seeing this picture caused me to think that maybe other people would like to make a patch with my modern dahlia design.
To make the patch, I had to modify the original embroidery file to include a satin stitch outline. I added this version of the file to the collection of files associated with the modern dahlia in my Etsy store.
