Easter is just around the corner which is a great opportunity to but out your embroidery machine. There are so many fun and easy Easter projects. But, if you want to make a few Easter easter projects without spending a lot of money on designs, then you should check out all these useful and FREE Easter machine embroidery designs.
You may wonder what motivates some of these embroidery designers to give away free designs. By periodically releasing “freebies” designers get potential shoppers to come back to their site to see what’s new. They figure – who knows – maybe you’ll make a purchase as well.
A lot of sites will ask you to register prior to giving you access the free designs. This will allow them to send you marketing emails in the future.
A final reason why a site might give a way a free embroidery design is to build trust. If you like the quality of the free design, you will likely come back when you are ready to purchase designs.
What to make with these free Easter embroidery designs
I am the worst when it comes to decorating my house for various holidays. But, I think it’s a cute touch to hang seasonal hand towels in your downstairs bathroom / power room. You can just buy some simple white or pastel-colored hand towels and stitch out some of these designs. And, voila! Your bathroom is seasonally appropriate. You can do the same for the kitchen towels.
Easter is the perfect opportunity to dress up in your cutest spring outfits. For little kids, a gingham or seersucker looks perfectly seasonally appropriate. Just add an embroidered Easter-themed design, and possibly a name or a monogram and you have the perfect look.
If you want to go a more casual route, stitch out these fun Easter designs on baby onesies and t-shirts to make a more laid back Easter look for a baby or a little kid.
You can also use these Easter-themed design to add a bit of flair and personalization to an Easter basket. There are a number of cloth “basket” that can easily be personalized with a name and an embroidery design.

Simple egg appliqué design
Looking for a basic little egg appliqué that you can stitch up in some pretty springtime fabric? Head over to my resource library and you can grab free Easter egg appliqué. You can thank my sister for that design. She specifically wanted an Easter egg appliqué that she could stitch out on hand towels with Lily Pulitzer fabrics. While I wasn’t super excited about the project, I have to admit that they turned out pretty cute.
Bunnycup embroidery also offers a cute little set of bunny embroidery designs. These are so many different ways you could use these designs. I could imagine stitching them out around the hem of a simple dress for a little girls. Easily transform a basic dress or skirt into the perfect Easter outfit.
In-the-hoop bunny felties and stuffies
